country fair {silent auction and raffle}

We are getting ready for the Country Fair adoption fundraiser on Saturday!!!

Kids carnival games...

and fun decorations...

I found these old tv trays in the garage, they belonged to Dave's grandma and he gave me permission to reporpose them.

So we made them into chalkboards and will hang them with twine or ribbon.

I found this fun frame at a garage sale.
I'm pretty sure when we are done with it I may be using it in the nursery!

 lots and lots of bunting...
and so much more!

If you're local, I hope you are planning to come out to our Country Fair THIS Saturday (Oct. 1)!
Our community life group is putting this event on for our friends Ryan and Christy Vogt - who are adopting from Russia.

And we would LOVE to have you out for some fun for all!

And don't forget - if you need some updated family pictures, dress according, and stop by for a 15 minute session with Andrea Siebert Photography.  Later, you'll get a cd of 8-10 edited images - perfect to fill some frames and have a 2011 Christmas card!!  For only $25!!  All proceeds are going to the Vogts!

We have been so excited and so impressed with the people and businesses who have donated to this cause, even without knowing the Vogts.

We have some awesome silent auction items, I just wanted to share a few that came to my mailbox this week...

baby set including a blanket, burp cloth, onesie, and diaper/wipe case

Sunni case, coin purse, and headband set--all in purple!!!
You can check out Pretty Posie Creations here or here to see all their cute stuff!

I am in love with Kristina's hats and had to explain to my kiddos why we wouldn't be keeping them.
Sassy B Creations is on Etsy, go check it out!!

Plus we have so many other items that will be a part of silent auction too!

AND, we have 2 awesome raffles...

2 tickets to the KSU vs. Tx A&M game on Nov. 12.
Section 23, Row 34 -   $10 per raffle ticket

and

A Night-Away package - one night stay in a king suite at Homewood Suites in Wichita and gift certificate to Olive Garden - $5 per raffle ticket

If any of you would like to enter either raffle without attending, you can!!
Just leave me a comment or email me at amandabalzer@cox.net.  You can send a check and I'll fill out a ticket(s) for you.

We are pumped for Saturday and praying for good weather!

Hope to see lots of you at our Country Fair!
You can visit Ryan and Christy's blog here and follow their adoption story.

Amanda,
Are you going to keep those chalkboards you made-- or sell them? If you're keeping them, can I borrow (or rent :) them from you-- I'd pay a rental fee you could donate to the Vogts (or keep for yourself) if you want. I'm hosting a baby shower for a friend in November and was wanting to do something like that-- but if I don't have to do it, all the better :)
