gavin {6 months}

I should probably get Gavin's 6 month pictures up before he turns 7 months in less than 2 weeks.

These summer days are passing all too quickly.

And this little guy is not missing a beat when it comes to growing and changing, and making his mama all too sad.

 He definitely was more difficult to photograph this month.

We had to reposition several times and I'd click as fast as I could before he'd notice I put the sign back beside him.

But he always found it.

As the sign got more and more eaten, we had to finally call it quits.

At 6 months you are eating more baby food, but you definitely are making us work for it. You don't seem to be a big fan, but you also don't act like you dislike the food.  You open your mouth willingly about 50% of the time.  Maybe I just need to figure out times that you are hungrier. 

You love to get down on the floor and play, rolling from your tummy to your back and back and forth, and you are loving your exersaucer.

Who would have thought the Bumbo seat wouldn't be a good thing for you.  You pretty much are already about to get yourself out of it.  You arch your little back and pull your little bottom up and are soooo close to pulling yourself out of it.  I definitely won't be leaving you sitting in that thing on the table and counter like I did your brother (I know, I know, probably unsafe that I did it at all!).

You are a pretty serious little guy.  You give us lots of smiles, but we have yet to really get a good laugh out of you. And you don't share your smiles with too many others besides us.  You just seem to carry this content but serious look on your face most of the time.  I can't wait till we can get a good belly laugh out of you.

 You loooooove bath time.  We got rid of the baby bath much faster with you than we did your brother and sister.  You love to just lay on your back in the tub and kick and move your arms like crazy.  Soon, you'll be able to sit and play and splash!

This month you had your first trip the zoo, your first car show, and your first little hike. 

At your 6 month appointment you weighed 17 lbs. 3 oz.

This month I started to see your big sister in your much much more.  I think a lot of people still say you look just like Mason, but the older you are getting the more you are looking like Taylor.

Can you believe that you STILL like to be swaddled?  Your arms are out, but the bottom half of your body is always wrapped up tight and you still love it.  Maybe this is just the trade-off for not taking a pacifier or sucking your thumb.

You are the sweetest little baby. But definitely not a cuddler. You like to be left alone to fall asleep
and even nights that I try to hold and rock you to sleep, you rarely let me. 

It's hard to believe that your first year is half over. I can't get over how much faster this seems to be going than before.
