What a perfect day.
I got to sleep in a little bit before church
Breakfast in bed with a sweet homemade card done by Taylor and Daddy
A sermon at church that reminded me that these kiddos are not mine.
God has given me the GIFT of being their mother and raising them here on this earth.
For this I am truly blessed.
Then out to eat for lunch, which could have been scary as the kids are usually very tired after church and need naps ASAP...they did great!
A 2 hour nap WITH my husband who does NOT like naps.
Then dinner with Papa and Nana...prepared mostly by Dave.
With the day ending with some family playtime....basketball complete with a cheerleader in her costume and pompoms, dog piles on mom and dad, dumping legos out, putting them away, dumping them out again, doctor, and then ending with our little man tipping over in his chair and hitting his head on the wall....
Poor little guy. He fell down outside and scraped his nose. Then fell again last night and scraped it some more.
And now the huge goose egg on his head. It looked like this less than one minute after hitting it.
This was definitely a weekend filled with emotions.
And really, all I can sum it up with are these words....Thank you.
I thank God for allowing me to be the mother of these 2 precious little ones.
And I thank him for giving me an amazing partner to help and love me all along the way.
And of course, I can't finish this Mother's Day post without mention of the wonderful mom that I was blessed with....

What a nasty bump! Poor dear. I am so surprised Mason did so good at lunch. I'm glad! He seemed quite sleepy at church but he refused to go down for a nap. Last hour playing in the gym revived him I think.
yikes! I'm glad that didn't happen at my house!
Ouch Mason...that looks horrible. Poor guy! Hope that gets better soon. Glad you had a great day!
Poor Guy! You have such a beautiful family!
