Let's just say that this smile didn't last long.
We kept thinking...after a few nights of getting used to it, she'll be okay.
2 weeks passed, she still wasn't okay.
After hour long screaming fits at bedtime, not wanting us to leave the room, wanting to pray 30 times just to stall, all of a sudden being scared of the open closet, getting out of bed and standing at her door banging, and waking up many times in the night screaming her head off....we called it quits.
Daddy put the front of the crib back on.
Guess we were rushing that one.
I just so happened to get a ParentBulletin email last week...all about this topic!
It said that so many times, kids turn 2, and parents rush them out of their crib....yep, that's what we did. Some kids just aren't ready yet.
So she's back to her crib and we are back to restful nights!

oh yeah, we tried that with our daughter when she was around 1 1/2 didnt work, same thing, we tried when she was 2, same thing, around 2 1/2 we took her to pick out her own toddler bed, she loved the idea, helped her daddy put it together, we didnt have the screaming fits as we did with moving her crib to a toddler bed, she was too confused & scared by that, I would stay try and 2 1/2 and take her to pick out her own toddler bed, its different, she knows what her crib is, which when you take the crib off, it is confusing i guess to them. we had those same issues, she loved it, til she was going to bed, she was not happy, thought it would subside, it never did. we removed it all together at 2 1/2 and took her to get her own toddler bed, she took to it much better then. hope it helps :)
