He has pretty much finished building and staining the cabinet/shelf unit on the sides of the fireplace.
This one has adjustable shelves so we can move them depending on what I find to decorate them with.
This is where our TV will be.
He hasn't finished the cabinet doors yet, but soon.
That will be where we store (or stuff and hide) the kid's games and toys.

The stain was a little off what we thought we had picked. A little more red in than we wanted. But maybe it's because it's against a red wall. We don't love it, but it will be fine.
We are waiting for our new fireplace/stove to arrive.
Stone will be ordered this week.
I really think this will be ready by the time we are ready to have fires this fall and winter!
