stages set up by random people hoping to gather a crowd
and an annual rock, paper, scissors tournament (that's what the big bracket is for)
a guy wearing a skirt
a giant spoon hanging in a tree
an army camp
kids daring each other to swing out but not fall in
homemade showers
campsites with official signs and names
people gathered at any hour of the day just pickin' and singin'
Only in Winfield will you see this guy
and this chair
and a random game of dodgeball
and a camp made out of wood
After this camp had a write-up done about it on the back of the daily schedule...Dave was very interested in it. We've walked by this camp every year...but never actually went in.
When we did, we found this guy carving a scooby-do head
that will be added to this collection.....he carves a head every year
This bike rack belongs to this camp
they had some other fun stuff made out of wood too
This camp pretty much just lets people come in and enjoy their things anytime (that's just how people at this festival are) But they DID have this sign....
Only in Winfield will you find a full-sized kitchen fully stocked in the campgrounds

and the kitchen sink
and not just homemade showers...but REAL showers with a screen door put on them.
need any bread??
The bed of this truck was FULL of loaves of bread. I'm not sure why anyone has that much bread unless they happened to have robbed a Wonder Bread store on their way to Winfield.
That's just a FEW of the interesting things you'll see in Winfield.
I'm not scarying you from coming am I?

I can honestly say that I've never heard of a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament -- complete with a bracket.
Looks like fun! This is the 2nd year in a row that I have had students miss school to go to Winfield! Maybe next year I should join them!!
Love the photos...wow...looks like a majorly fun time! :O)
that is too funny! sounds fun!
Love this post!! There are so many CRAZY things to see in the Grove! How fun that you captured some of them :) Totally saw that guy with the big glasses-several times. He was right by Stage 4.75...I don't think he ever moved!
Ahh...I miss it already! Hope you had a great festival. You'll meet some new people and form a little camp of your own soon. We're still trying to come up with a name for our camp, so we can get our own sign/flag.
Wow. Those are some funny pictures!!! Did that guy just LET you take his picture????
I love that Children must be with an adult sign!
And the other one saying they'd be given a puppy and an expresso. We need one of those signs..or 10.. at our local mall that people treat as a daycare. LOL.
Amanda, it was so nice meeting you this past weekend!!
Makes me miss Bluegrass, hadn't been in three years but seems like forever now!
