quick trip

We just got back from a very quick and unexpected trip to see my parents in Missouri.

On Friday morning we found out Dave was getting off work at noon. We had planned to make the trip sometime in the next few weeks anyway...but with a half a day more, we couldn't pass it up. We made the last minute decision on Friday morning and were gone by 1 for the 5 hour trip.

I'll have more pictures to share later this week, but for now....

What does it mean to be 36 1/2 inches at Silver Dollar City???

It means THIS little girl could ride a few of the kiddie rides all by herself....

Can you tell she's proud of herself?

We went last year on Mother's Day weekend...there were 2 rides she could ride WITH an adult. Here she is last year...

Amazing what difference a year can make.

Last year Mason was just a few months old...so this year he got to have WAY more fun!

He really has no clue yet what is going on...as you can tell by his serious face.

These frogs jumped up and down as they spun in a circle, it was actually quite crazy, so much that I had to hold on to him because he was sliding all around and I don't think the belt would have kept him in.

His face never lit up like Taylor's...but he still smiled and LOVED it!

It's so nice to have parents with season passes and guests passes...makes for a fun cheap and SHORT (because sometimes with a 1 and 2 year old, things are cut short), day trip!

Mason's face in the first picture makes me crack up! How funny!

We took the kids here before the school year started. Jobe LOVED that ride. He cried every time it was over. Could have ridden it all day, but the other kids wouldn't let him.

We wondered where you were yesterday! I brought some things to the nursery to give to you. I'll have to drop by your house. Al and I went to Silver Dollar City before we had kids. Looks like we need to go again with the grandkids. That looks like so much fun!
