We decided to try Taylor on her bike without training wheels the other day. I'm not really sure why.
We were having a conversation about them, and she mentioned that she wanted to give it a shot.
So we did. She's always been our daring and adventrurous one.
After Mason's new bike - this bike looks ridiculously small!
Daddy tried to explain that she'd have to balance and steer straight.
And he assured her he wouldn't let go.
She was all over the road.
She really had no clue. She wasn't able to keep the bike from leaning, Dave basically held her up.
But it was a fun try. There were smiles and laughs the entire time!
I'm guessing that may not always be.
So the training wheels are back on. We were way early on this attempt.
Which is okay by me. No need to rush this growing up thing.
If anything, she got a good physics lesson.

One of Dylan's friends at school rides without training wheels so Dylan decided he wanted to give it a try! So we did, and he didn't get it either! It was fun though and he laughed the entire time. I think we will try this summer again!!
We worked all last summer with Koby and he didn't get it. He was barely 4 and we got his bike out about 3 weeks ago and he still didn;t get it, but I told him I was done helping and the little turd got on and worked himself and was able to start himself and ride to the end of the drive and back in 20 minutes...!! She'll get it!!
WOW good for her for wanting to try!! I don't remember how old I was when I tried this but I remember my way of stopping...turning into driveways and hitting the neighbor's garage doors..ouch.
What sweet photos! Her and her daddy will both like looking back at them when she's older. I agree...no need to rush things. Before you know it, Dave will be teaching her to drive her first car. Okay, let's not think about that!!
