As Dave was helping his Dad with some other stuff in their storage unit, he spotted this.
I wish I had the creative mind that some you have...to just be able to look at this and picture it somewhere, all done up cute, maybe a different color with some other added details.
But for now, it's in the garage.
That's a built in flour sifter....cool huh?

Jars of ink....anyone have a feather pen?
Hopefully this new treasure of ours will someday make it into the house and be exactly what I imagine it to be...whatever that is!Give me your ideas! If you have any creative friends pass this post on so they can leave me comments with their ideas too!

You have a valuable piece of furniture. I appreciate that Dave noticed it and wanted it. Most adults your age don't appreciate antiques. Your great grandma had something similar and it is still on the back porch at Gma and Gpas.
That's awesome! I love going to auctions and looking at old furniture like that... They usually sell for TONS of money! Too much for me, anyway. Looks like it'll need some TLC, but when you're done you'll have something that you can pass on to your kiddos!
That is WAY cool. I love the flour sifter. I like it when antiques are kept original as much as possible. But, if you wanna doll it up differently I could see some red crackle paint done on there. Just an idea!
We've had 2! One I bought at an antique store, but it was 2 different pieces, stacked together. Different types of wood, so I just painted it red. Loved it! Then we got an oak one from a family auction. It needed lots of TLC. We had it refinished, and it's in our dining room. I love it!
